Chesapeake Utilities Corporation celebrated the commencement of operations for Eight Flags Energy, LLC, the Company’s first combined heat and power plant, located on Amelia Island in Florida. The plant generates approximately 21 megawatts of baseload power, producing enough electricity to meet 50% of the Island’s demand.
